Biology overview

Biology is the scientific study of living organisms and their interactions with each other and with their environment. It encompasses a wide range of topics, including the structure, function, growth, evolution, and distribution of living organisms, as well as the interactions between different species and the relationships between organisms and their physical and biotic environments. Biology also covers the molecular, cellular, and genetic processes that underlie the functions of living organisms and the mechanisms of evolution and adaptation.  Biology is considered a natural science that covers a wide variety of topics but, has several unifying themes. Some of these themes are as follows: 

1) All organisms are made up of cells that have information that's transmitted to future generations.

2) Living organisms process energy which allows them to move, grow, and reproduce.

3) All organisms can regulate/govern their internal environments.
